Four x C-124 Globemasters pic

This is my first attempt at a scan by myself. It is four x USAF C-124s routing through Kano airport in Northern Nigeria with UN supplies and personnel on their way to the Congo during the trouble down there in 1960.

A classic plane and one of my favorites,
My father flew them for years and I have his POH for the type and a 1/72 metal Douglas factory model of it.

Note the neat MATS paint scheme…white over natural metal with the late-
50s and early-60s dayglo trim.
