Hiya flew on this flight on Friday the 23rd.
FR157 Seat 19 (I think) ETD-19:50 Actual 20:15
Arrived at LBA around 2hr 30 mins before departure. I was number 10 to check in and made my way through to departures. Very quiet at LBA and waited for my carriage to arrive. Was delighted to see it was EI-CJE the Jaguar logo jet. About 10 mins after arrival boarding commenced in a big scrum as the staff took no notice of the sequence numbers. I managed to be about the 6th on and took my seat 2 rows behind the emergency exit. The interior of the plane was old with some signs in German, an advert for Mars Bars on the seat tray and a part that I liked the original 737 logo on the window blind. Was clean though. Very full I only spotted about 10 empty seats. We taxied for departure from runway 14 and departed approx 15 mins late. The crew then started their service selling drinks and snacks. I bought a very small can of coke at the huge price of £1. They then brought the gifts round and I purchased a model of an -800 for a quite reasonable £8. Overall I found the crew to be friendly, polite and efficient. We then started our descent into Dublin and arrived exactly on time. You could really hear the reverse thrust which I loved (though my auntie had her fingers in her ears!). Overall I was impressed with Ryanair. Heres a pic of the beautiful EI-CJE herself.

Ryanair does a minimum to maintain their aircraft. I flew on a 738 the other day from STN to CRL and the right engine nacelle was damaged by a ground vehicle or so, and it was extremely un-aerodynamically repaired. It looked like they hammered some bended small sheets of aluminium on it.
What they had probably done was temporarily repaired it with this particular aluminium ‘tape’. It comes in large rolls, just like selotape, but it is quite thick and very strong. In the hangar they use it just as a quick repair tool to make sure it can’t get any worse, and then they will repair it properly either over night, or when it next goes in for it’s check.

I doubt one row would have made any difference, which was how far away I was sat from where I was on the outbound.

The fact that your return trip was quiter maybe just seemed so because you sat a few rows more to the front?

Cheers for the comments everyone. Yes the 1st picture was taken at Newcastle. T5 I will send my review later. EGNM I too loved the 200s and CJE is a fantastic looking bird. Have a great time tomorrow:)

My turn tommorow – FR153 and FR156 – Will be the Islandsflug -400 TF-ELD on the outbound with another -200 on the inbound! I hope that the weather holds for us to get out, but i have always liked the prospect of being diverted on the inbound 😀
p.s. EI-CJE was my travel from DUB-LPL in December – i really do like the -200s 😀 😀 😀

FR158 ETD-20:35 actual-20:35 ETA-21:30 actual-21:10.
We arrived at Dublin airport at around 18:00. I looked for our check in and it wasnt open so I had to wait half an hour before it was. Checked in and was sequence number 7. Went through to departures (Dublin is a very big airport). Was delighted to see a VS A340 which later took off. (Anyone know what it was doing there?).Also saw lots of Ryanair 732s including the Hertz and Jaguar and a RYR 738 and Islandflug 734. Our plane arrived which was EI-CNX (Not a logo jet :(. We got called for boarding and was pleased to see they took notice of the sequence numbers asking for families and special needs people then people with 1-65 sequence numbers. We then boarded and I found this plane nicer than the outbound one on the inside with no adverts on the seat trays. This plane was also quiter. We then lined up for departure in front of 3 other a/c I think ryanairs. The old bird then took to the skies and we were off on our 35 min hop to LBA. I bought another very small can of coke for £1 and by the time I had drunk that we had started our descent into LBA. This flight was totally full. We touched down on 32 and taxied to the stand. Ryanair taxi speeds are really something! All in all the price Ryanair charge is excellent value for the service which was on time clean and had good staff. I would more than happily fly them again but if RYR and Jet2 were head to head on 1 route I would pick Jet2.
