12. Kuwait Airways, A340
The next pictures were made when it was almost dark.
13. China Air Cargo, B747
14. SunExpress, TC-SNH, Looks special but I can’t find what it is. If somebody knows, please leave a reply 🙂 Thanks!.

Mighty fine set there indeed, one of my favourite places at that bridge.
DC10Rob… getting to the spot can be a challenge..walking from the terminal can take maybe 45 mins or so (not that i have ever tried 😮 ) there is a small woodland car park… if you look at the google maps link and you will see a track leading up from the east towards the spotting point…follow that back to the intersection with a road leading south..this is where you park.. to access it heading southbound on A5 (from terminal) just after you pass the stored aircraft on the right (DC3 etc…) take the exit on to the L2362 keeping left and take the very first left which is the road that will take you to the car park…it is then a 5 minute walk to the bridge.
Reason for all the tug activity is all the day stopping heavies get parked over that side near where the AFB used to be, and they are towed back and forth via that viewing spot.

Try to keep the plane in center frame, in many of your photo’s the aircraft is in the buttom part of the frame instead of the middle. Also I can see a lot of dirt on your sensor. maybe it’s an idea to clean it.
I saw the dirt when we came home as well and I cleaned it immediately. I’m trying to center the plane but it doesn’t always work out. Also there is a fence and i’m trying to take pictures without it.
I do enjoy seeing images like the ones you have kindly taken the time to share with us.
Thanks!! 🙂
Ground tugs seem to busy there, is that normal?
Me and my father also noticed that, don’t know if it’s normal but we saw lots of them!!
Keep these pics coming. You are a fast learner
Thanks!! 😀
excellent photos. Tell me, how did you get to the viewing area where you took them from?
Thanks, and the viewing area is here:

Hi Colin, excellent photos. Tell me, how did you get to the viewing area where you took them from? I went to FRA in April but only viewed from the observation deck.
Keep the photos coming.

I’m afraid that I’m not a photographer, but I do enjoy seeing images like the ones you have kindly taken the time to share with us. Very interesting to see that 787. It looks to me as though the Sun Express livery seems to be highlighting the airlines 20th Birthday. Hope to see more of your pics sometime;)

You caught some nice visitors, did you see the 747-800? I was lucky to spot that one when I was there in July.
