Spend two sunny days at Frankfurt airport, here are some of the highlights for Saturday
Landing shots are form the spotting point along the motorway, 25R/L till about 14.30. The runway shots in the afternoon on Startbahn West

Thanks for the info – not sure on Flybe’s policy on ladders as hand baggage but i doubt it is good.

For PaulC: there is a platform next to startbahn west that is elevated halfway up the fence, however they have placed a second fence some 2 meters behind the first, so if you want to shoot clear of fences you have to bring a ladder. Also, on most days you will have other photographers with ladders along the railing, so you need something to muscle yourself in. The platform is also good for shooting 07 landings in the morning, for that you do not need a ladder.
I cannot help you with public transport I am usually there with my own transport.
For ATR72: I think Tui is actually earning money on these bright liveries, in any case I do not mind!

Great pics – do you need steps for the ‘startbahn west’ area and is it easy to get to using public transport. 4 of us are staying at the Intercity hotel so the autobahn footbridge will get a visit assuming they are using the 25’s for landings.

Some really nice catches there, especially the Thai retro 74 and the Aero Logic 777. The Southern Air 74’s looking rather fine as well!
