Does anybody know the future of the viewing deck in FRA,after they closed it for building work.Is it to be re-opened at all or is it permanently closed?I never got the chance to visit the deck,but it looked like a great spot.Is it possible to have a day trip to FRA,or are the other spots in-accessible to the pedestrian?

I got to FRA last year before the deck closed and it was awesome. As regards walking to somwhere I dont honestly know.
The only place I know is the eating area in terminal 2 but its a limited view and pictures are very difficult as its through glass.
