Free FlyPast CD

Has anybody else hereabouts got the original pressing of this free CD on vinyl??

“Salute in Sound” narrated by Douglas Bader

Presumably it was produced in 1968 as a celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the RAF. Must be 30 years since I last heard it

I also have the Bader L/P,
They appear on E-bay every so often, but iv’e never tracked them to see how much they go for, my copy is from boot sale and is very ‘tired’ though well worth having.
I seem to recall a vinyl single? which featured the late / great Neil Williams advertised in the aviation press….does anyone have this or did i dream it ? 1970’s ?

They send them out a month before and either at the very end of the month before or early in the month. That is in the uk, i would guess that the overseas subsribers get them slightly later due to shipping time.

Looks like the overseas subscribers are going to have to wait……….

There should be one taped to the front cover in a plastic sleeve.

I also have the original in its sleeve, can’t recall when or where I bought it but it would have been back in 68 when it came out I guess.

I’ve got the vinyl LP and the original sleeve. I think it cost 14/6p when I bought it new in 1968.

I have it, but only the actual LP, not the sleeve/cover. I found it randomly shoved in a sleeve with another, totally unrelated, record that my Grandad had.

Strangely enough I was thinking about digging it out just the other day, so getting the Flypast CD has made my day.

I’m sure I’ve got it – but can’t lay my hands on it at the moment.
I also have in my LP collection the three vols of “Wings of History” officially endorsed by the Shuttleworth Collection.
Vol. 1 Sounds at Shuttleworth (1976)
Vol. 2 Return to Shuttleworth (1976)
Vol. 3 Rendezvous: Shuttleworth (1977)
Additionally “The Sounds of the Aeroplane at War” – the first section combat recordings, the second individual aircraft (some recorded post-war).
Got other aviation-related records but it’ll bore you to death :p
