Just a quick question, for freighter, and freighter conversions, what happens to all the windows? I am guessing the two may be different.
With new builds, I guess they do not cut the window shapes from the raw aluminium, but what about conversions? Do they simply paint the windows, or replace them with aluminium sheets (which I assume is lighter for the given size)?

They remove them and replace them with metal blanks, windows can be expensive to maintain and are easily damaged, so metal blanks are used instead. an ideal aircraft wouldn’t have any windows as openings mean you have to strenghten that area….. they would also as said probably be cheaper and lighter.
