French Aircraft Registrations

Does anyone know the French equivalent of the CAA’s G-INFO service if there is such a thing?

I’m trying to trace my Cub’s history prior to it coming on the UK register and I know it was in France prior to coming here in 1976.

Try e-mailing Roger Peperell, Secretary of the Vintage Piper Aircraft Club, at [email]peperell@fiftyone.u-net.com[/email] His colleague Colin Smith (who doesn’t have e-mail) is an expert on Cub histories and may be able to trace yours back through its post-USAAC years in Switzerland and France before it came to the UK.
