This is truly sad news, and one of three crashes that we have suffered in just a few weeks in the European vintage aircraft community (two fatal). Let’s pray for all involved, and hope that the remainder of the season remains incident free. A sad, sad time. 🙁

One of the news reports appears to show John Day in the Popham-based Dr1 replica. This was NOT the aeroplane in question.
