Progress on the French Lancaster is fine. Cockpit aerea (in and out) is now “like new”. Next work will see the wing and undercart. Great it is blue, although I personaly prefered the white and grey Aeronavale livery.

RE: French Lancaster
Hi Peter, thanks for the pics 🙂 If I remember rightly, this Lanc crashed on an island in the Pacific, but I can’t find any other details. Can anyone fill me in?Was it a crash or was she written off in a heavy landing? One or two of those undercarriage mounting brackets certainly look a touch bent!
Thanks in advance 🙂

I bet some idiot will compalin its not in green and brown. I’m glad too see what must be the only non WW2 Lanc in Europe. Its a shame that it did so much as well as being a bomber, but the “other lancs” get overlooked.

Excellent picture, thank you, and I like the French Blue too-she looks good like that. It’s when they get the colours of the camoflage all wrong that I don’t like it…

RE: French Lancaster
Thanks for the post Roger, she’s looking good!I’m just thinking she’d go down a storm at Cockpitfest :).Not sure I agree with you on the pale colour scheme, that deep blue looks rather tasty to me.
