French Local Papers…

Does anyone know if there is a local newspaper for Dunkirk that would have been around in 1955? I have tried searching the net but have not been able to pin anything down!!!

TIA

Hi Dave,

I would suggest that you email the British Library Newspaper Library. Here is their website.

http://www.bl.uk/collections/newspapers.html

As experts in the field they should be able to tell you who to contact in France I’d imagine. Good luck

Not sure but I have been told that the French newspaper industry is not like that of the UK – very few locals and next to no coverage at weekends… (Or at least that is how it was about 10 years ago) – Nermal
