No school today meant a trip to MAN for me! 🙂 Light today was abit dodgy, and horrific rain meant I had to leave after a couple of hours, here’s what I managed:

My first Saudi 777 😀

Wilag: The TOM aircraft was indeed G-OBYB 🙂
Peter: Didn’t catch the water salute, couldn’t see it from the AVP

Does Saudi operate into Manchester or was the aircraft leased??
With 2 777s arriving one wonder if that meant two lots of water cannon salutes!?!) as the “proper” scheduled service was running late – SV112 operated into MAN from LHR in mid-afternoon with SV121/2 operating early evening. Suffice to say that I saw neither aircraft.
It’s not the 1st time SV have had a 777 in MAN – one came in about 2 years ago, and rumours of a thrice weekly service using L1011s was mentioned way back in 1987, though we had periodic SV 747F freighter flights (including one by Korean Airlines which I missed!)

It was a new service that started today.
Infact we had 2 Saudia 777’s in our first service was deleyed and arrived from Geneva and they sent one up from Heathrow to pick up passengers
