Fritz-X-Do217 vs Roma

I am currantly working on an illustration of the Fritz-X attack on the Italian battleship Roma, Sept 9, 1943, as she and the bulk of the Italian fleet fled. This strike was carried out by 11( or 12 or 15 or 6) Do 217-k2 A/C of the 3/KG100 Gruppe.

1-I am seeking A/C paint and markings for the Do 217’s on this mission. Sources say the Fritz were painted Lt BLue to match the underside of the A/C, but at some point it seems the 217-K2’s of this group went to more of night attacks due to heavy lose in daylight raids, and the scheme went to black on the bottom….have not found good info yet

2-A back view of the flare unit on the tail end of the Fritz-X, used by the bombardiar to track and guide the glide bomb.

Here is a rough-up of the project in the works. Any comments or info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Chris
