Hi Dave,

Yes it’s a Lynx AH9 based at Dishforth N Yorks and these are being upgraded to the AH9A standard (upgraded engines giving better high and hot performance just right for Afganistan) You can tell the converted AH9s by the large upturned exhausts.

Lovely shots Cliff, I guess that is Upavon in the background of the last shot.

The ground shots were all taken at the FRP set up on the plain and not on Neatheravon.

Whereabouts on The Plain did you take these photos? I often see Lynx and Gazelle flying around Larkhill and recently I’ve noticed a number of Sea Kings, and Chinooks (from Boscombe I believe), but I have yet to see a Merlin.
