Hi all.
As we can see everyday, fuel prices are ever increasing. At Lee on Solent we are trying to be as user friendly as possibly. If you would like to pop in for fuel, then you are always welcome.
However, the airfield is still under military/goverment control. If you would like to pop in, you would need to be visiting TAS (Thruxton Aviation Services). This is the company who offers the refuelling, they also offer competitive maintenance for light aircraft.
Send a copy of your aircraft insurance to TAS, Fax No 023 9255 6572 Tel 023 9255 6571. We require a copy of your insurance for the police, you can send a copy to the police direct but I dont have their number, plus its easier to send it to TAS. Then simply ring the above number and arrange the time you would like fuel. There is a direct refuelling number, this is 07913 530815.
Being a military area there are millions of pubs in the local area, there is a very nice pub right on the sea front, sit outside with a nice cold drink and watch the sailing in the solent.
Hope to see you soon, and I hope this can be of use to a few people.
Good luck and Happy landings!!
