I think build your own or get Mike Eastman and friends to build one might be the best idea. It has taken me 5 years to get to the current state of my fuselage.
I cant tell you how much I have spent so far. (as my wife might read this!)

Is this your simulator at East Fortune. I was stuck on a stand and unable to examine it on the day.

The thing about Spitfires is they are jolly expensive. The cockpit on sale last week was worth £10k. My complete, kitted out Hunter cockpit, if sold, would not even pay for the stick in my Spitfire!
For £10k you may get a shabby 2nd hand fibreglass airframe – if available, but it will be empty and the cockpit uninhabitable. Build your own!!

If you contact GB Replicas they will build you a brand new full size GRP Spitfire and you will get change around £30k but you willl then have to finish and fit out the cockpit yourself.

If on the other hand you want a full size aluminum one then we could help you but forum policy and rules dictate I am not permitted to elaborate an dof course Neil you already know where we are.
