Dave O’Malley, who authors all the stories on our website, is a graphics genius, and has a great sense of humour. He sure got me on this one, hook-line-and-sinker.

Anyway, you’re right. The Hurri looks wonderful. And since the Vintech team finished with the Spitfire IX last year they’ve been pushing ahead with this new project at a great rate.

I hope to fly it this Fall.

I looked at every caption for some explanation about the roundels and finflashes to suggest it was an April Fool’s gag, so well-done is the photo retouching! Bravo to all!

Also the real deal looks fantastic. It must be an exciting time to be at VWoC working on her.

Other sources suggest the more usual insignia.

There is no way, is there, that the colours somehow got mixed up between drawings and application ?

Did not this Mk Hurricane actually have a PT 6 engine, like some of the late-production Swordfish ?

I must be missing something, but I always associated the red outer ring and blue inner circle as the roundel of the French Air Force.

I am slightly puzzled by the fuselage roundel colours. On the masked photo it states a red centre, white, blue and then the yellow outer, however, the finished roundels appear to my eyes to have a blue centre, white, red and then the yellow outer. Or is it because itโ€™s April 1st?
