Thinking that in the next decade the Raf will be replacing is f3 fleet, tankers and SAR helicopters, will they be seinding the replacements out to the falklands? would the Threat really constitute the all this new equipment being deployed, from memory i think the last RAF phantoms were in the falklands, showing the lack of need for the best equipment.
With the defence budget for the falklands being well over a million pounds a day, in a world of defence cuts and procument issues can the cost be justified? Will the Raf perminently deploy 1 of only 14 tankers?
just a theoretical question really, all speculation, but now the 25 year anniversiery has gone, will comman sense take over pride?
