With the news reporting on how much more oil is going to be pumped and the introduction of better fuel efficient cars and new hybrids and fuel cell cars. what is the future of aviation fuel wise. since jet fuel is a fossil fuel and the oil reserves it in the world are going to disappear for sure inn the first half of this new century. And I highly doubt that there will be a fuel cell version for planes especially since it would be incredibly heavy. Does any one know what the aircraft industry is doing in anticipation of this envitable future of empty oil fields? And the search for environmentally friendly , efficient, and plentiful fuels.
