Hugo Chavez has died.
How will this impact the Venzeulan Air Force.
Prior to Chavez, Venezuela’s Air Force was allied with US and mainly equipped with Western equipment.
Chavez changed this and sought a more independent stance.
This meant buying Russian (Su-30, Mi-35, Mi-17) and Chinese equipment (Y-8, K-8).
So it will be interesting to see if the independent stance is maintained or whether Venezuela goes back under the American umbrella.
