Flight International writes that Brasil thinks about cancelling the FX fighter replacement programme. We all know that and it has been discussed here.
But Flight also writes that the two final contenders are Su-35 and JAS-39. How in the world does a requirement look like, that can produce such diametrically opposed designs as the two final contenders? Are the Brasilians sure they know what they need? Such a downselect looks a bit absurde in my mind; maybe we witness a bit of a jungle-opera here?
