This is going to sound a really strange request but here goes anyway.
On Sunday 18th September, my girlfriend and I made what I can only describe as a pilgrimage to Matlock War Memorial. On it are remembered the fallen of the town and among their number are members of my girlfriend’s family. While there between roughly 14:00 and 15:00, a number of high wing momoplanes overflew the area and a light twin with a T -tail.
Is there any chance that anyone here might have been the pilot of either of those aircraft and if so did anyone take photographs of the town and particularly the War Memorial which stands on a hill overlooking the town?
Failing that, does anyone have any aerial photos which show the town and particularly the War Memorial and would be willing to share them?
Thanks in advance.
Kind regards,

Tatenhill or Derby might be able to furnish you with some info and/or piccies if you ask nicely….
