G- DAKK

Stopped in past the Aviodrome whilst travelling up from Amsterdam to Emmen on business the other day. Noticed that G-DAKK is still there as per attached pics

Remember it was stated a while ago that it was going there for a two year stay, but what is it actually doing there……is she ground bound, or does she get air under her wings every now and then ??

Out of interest (and no Im not planning on buying one) what does a flying Dak cost to purchase?

I dont ever recall seeing one up for offer. Although saying that Ive never gone looking for one.

Courtesy Aviation have a couple for sale at $195,000 and $295,000.
see http://www.courtesyaircraft.com/inventory%20table.htm
The value is all down to component life which in a Dak is the engines and props and any mandatory inspections coming due in short flying hours or calender life. I believe the wings have to come off a Dakota at certain flight hours.
Also interior fit, one stripped for para dropping compared to a airline seating layout or evan a VIP luxury cabin, all make a big difference on value.

Certainly has to be in contention for winner of the most atractive looking Dak award.

Not if you put G-AMPY back into her old starways scheme 😉

Sadly, I can’t see too many potential buyers lining up while the EASA regulations effectively preclude passenger carrying. 🙁

Yep, Got to agree with you there PP, a lovely scheme.

So she’s up for sale, but in the meantime, does she get looked after, ground run etc…..

She is for sale and I don’t think she has flown since she arrived but I may be wrong.

Always thought she looked lovely. Be nice to see her back flying in the UK.
