G-EZOD? (or am I just seeing things)

Hello all,

I would not usually post here about anything as trivial as this but I was on flight EZY484 from EDI-BFS this morning and as I boarded the flight I saw on the nosewheel door “OD” so I assumed that the airplane’s reg was G-EZOD.

After landing at Belfast International (15 mins ahead of schedule), I made a very short visit to the flight deck where I am sure the plaque on the panel confirmed the reg as G-EZOD.

However I cannot see any record of G-EZOD on airfleets, a.net or G-INFO. So can anyone confirm if G-EZOD is just a VERY new plane for easyjet or am I seeing things twice in one day?

Thanks in advance

No problem !

Yeah, easyJet (along with many others) alter their radio callsign so it bears no resemblance whatsoever to the timetabled flight numbers !. But i would say without doubt that it was G-EZDD, that one did the EDI-BFS-EDI-BFS that day, so it has to be that one – infact that log uses GMT i’m pretty sure, so your suggested 7am ties up perfectly !. All the other EZY flights into EDI that day looked nothing like DO, OD etc !

Andy

Hi there,

G-EZOD does not appear anywhere in EDI log from 29/7/09, nor does G-TTOD, G-EZDO or G-EZBD.

However G-EZDD did do the following flights from EDI, if you took off around 6am then it was definitely EZY73WU (which is EDI-BFS) and was definitely G-EZDD !:

Andy

hat solves it!!! Thanks for your help on that. Not sure about the callsign but it was 7am EZY484!

Thanks again !

I took a very enjoyable flight in a De Havilland Rapide with that oufit that operates out of Duxford (can’t recall its name). The aircraft carried a normal UK registration but the dashboard plaque still carried a New Zealand one ZK-*** (again, can’t recall reg.)
I used to watch this very plane fly into Ardmore Aerodrome in NZ when I was a child.

Hey all, it might well have been G-EZDD, I thought I would have known between an O and a D!! Sadly no pictures from the outside of the plane or the flight deck. I did ask about taking a pic of the flight deck but the F/O said that was not allowed due to security policy!

Cheers again!

They certainly don’t appear to have an G-EZOD or a G-TTOD (as suggested) in the fleet.

As Pete says I think it could be G-EZDD or maybe even G-EZDO.

Is G-TTOD (ex BMed) still in the fleet?

Other likely candidates: G-EZBD and G-EZDD. Maybe you can post a copy of the picture, maybe crop and zoom a bit?
