Nice looking machine.
I suspect they’re used for offshore work.
BTW: Is the Puma family still restricted from offshore work?

Today marked the first flight following delivery, a few ILS approaches and a trip to Humberside and back to Norwich, the crew of three seemed reluctant to stop ‘having fun’ with their new toy !! …. couple of photos ….

The owner/operators can make a decision based on all sorts of things so long as they are prepared to pay the higher fee for the non-sequential registration. In this case “OEN*” series are “One Eight Nine”. Bristow have done other series with “ISS*” for EC155, “ZZS*” for the EC225, “IAC*” for the S-92s operating for the Integrated Aviation Consortium out of Scatsta. CHC Scotia have used “PUM*” for their Super Puma series (although to be fair that was started by the original Bond Helicopters). Of course they have also used “CHC*”, “OAG*” (Oil And Gas), “WNS*” (Western North Sea). Bond currently have “RED*” (Bond old colours) and now “VIN*”, which I believe is for Avincis. Not sure if a new one will appear now that Avincis has been taken over by Babcock – I dread to to think!
Bristow S-92s (Other than the IAC* series) tend to be registered in the normal sequence except for two: XCII (Roman numerals for 92), and GALC which is on the 200th S-92 produced by Sikorsky. Bristow wanted a special registration for the aircraft but all the ones they looked for had already been used. So they came up with GALC. Had us confused for ages, but was in celebration of the birth of George Alexander Louis Cambridge.

No. How does any one entity invent out of sequence serial numbers like this!
