Hi All,
I know this isn’t commercial, but I just wanted to post something because this incident is so ‘close to home’ as it were, and I still can’t quite get my head around it.
G-OSSI, a Robinson R-44 based at LBA that I used to see almost daily on my trips to the airport and has featured in many of my photo posts, has crashed in Cumbria killing her four passengers, apparently brought down by bad weather. She was the very first aircraft I think I ever shot with my 350D and one of the very first photos I had accepted on Jetphotos was of her, so I’ve always had something of a a soft spot for this particular aircraft. On seeing one of my recent photos of her on JP, the pilot flying at the time contacted me and after some pleasant email exchanges, offered to take me up in OSSI sometime. That sadly will now never happen.
I’d just like to make one last little pictorial tribute to her, as basically I won’t be pointing my camera at her again. 😡
G-OSSI in happier times.

Rest In Peace, little blue Heli, and the four souls who lost their lives in this tragic accident. 😡

A timely reminder of the consequences following a fatal accident. There are always untold stories behind the headlines that tend to get overlooked.
