G-SEAH/WM994/N994WM

Hi all.

Was browsing Thunder and Lightnings and came upon Sea Hawk G-SEAH. She was up for sale in the states in 2004, and I believe was eventually sold and moved to California, but now seems to have vanished off the face of the earth! Does anyone have any idea exactly where she is, who owns her and what the future holds for her? It looked as though she could well be an airworthy project in 2004.

Cheers,

Tom.

N- register changes w/e 19th Oct 2012

Cancellations

My source informed me this morning that the Seahawk is probably or at least went at the time of the sale to Pennsylvania although this can only be a strong rumour at the moment.:)

Excellent! We know she left Anoka, and we now have proof she headed East, but where is she now, and in what state?!

Thanks for the information and pic Mobius.

[QUOTE=Mobius;1091289]My friend went on a road trip in the summer of 2005(I believe) and took an interesting picture. While digging around trying to find out what the subject of his picture was, I encountered this discussion. I registered here to share my information with you all. He was taking a road trip from Minneapolis to Boston. On his way, he encountered the plane you’re discussing being transported. He was around Tomah, Wisconin at the time, heading eastbound on interstate 94. I dug up that your plane was at the Polar Aviation Museum, Anoka County airport, in Minnesota in 2004, owned by Amjet Aircraft Corporation as already mentioned. Looks like she was sold and headed east.[/QUOTE>

Which begs my question in post 11, why hasn’t the FAA got a change of ownership processed?

I do, in fact, know where Blaine is. 🙂

That UFO looking thing certainly is suspicious…

Hey Mobius, 10 out of 10 for service to the community and welcome to the forum!:)

Now if your friend Matt could give us the name of the trucking company, we might be able to find its destination.

Check out the photo and see the UFO, top left quadrant.

As you know where Blaine MN is, we might be asking you to do some detective work on a certain Gannet that is residing there!;)

Edit. This Gannet is at Goose Bay.

Hi Mobius – and welcome. Good to see that pic. Presumably another truck had the wings on it. Shouldn’t think those straps did the elevators any good!!

Here’s the link to the photo in question and my friend’s description of the event.

“I had actually passed this monstrosity before I made my stop in Tomah, but the camera wasn’t handy. Luckily for me truckers are all actually cyborgs that don’t need to stop for food or numbers 1 and 2, so I ran into him again. This picture really doesn’t do justice to the essential spaceship nature of this thing. It was like some rocket from the underground lab being transported for a test flight by Flash Gordon.

Note the jaunty angles to the red flags at the back of the truck. Is it possible for cyborg truckers from the 24th and a half century to be a little fruity?”

He’s a character. I hope this is helpful.

There we are! Getting closer to the truth. Wouldn’t the FAA have some regulations about advising change of ownership in a matter of weeks not years?

I thought this was a good photo taken in the US. Still ferreting for info!

J-ETH is still around at Gatwick.

She’s undergoing a full strip down to bare metal ready for a re-paint in FAA colours this year.

Peter

What markings are you planning on doing?

The Amjet Corporation imported her into the USA from Bournemouth in the early 1990s, so I presume they were its owners before it changed hands via Courtesy.

Crikey – that’s a helluva job! I wonder if they get the same funny looks walking out of B&Q with gallons of paint stripper like I did when I stripped mine!

Ah! I think it was courtesy that had her for sale. So maybe Amjet are the new owners (?)

Can’t recall the name of the company who had her for sale, don’t think it was Amjet though. No idea who owns her now or even where she is.Roy.

I asked the question because Amjet is the owner of record unless anyone knows better?

So was Amjet the seller then or the owner now?

The last time she was up for sale, I called the vendor in the USA only to be told she had been sold. Roy.

So was Amjet the seller then or the owner now?
