G-STUK Stuka

Anyone know what has happened to Glenn Laceys Stuka re-build, G-STUK?

It was de-registered by the CAA in 2007…:(

Must be an echo!

Although I think it has been tidied up now, it used to be the case that one could register anything relatively easily, without proof of ownership, and indeed without proof of the existence of the aircraft at all!

I registered a Harrier one time, at the request of the owner. That got people excited, but it was never going to fly!

it has been all the time in germany storage facility.
Its verry easy to set up something or to create fake smoke.
the only thing what there was was a instrument panel of a stuka.

The ‘project’ aircraft is in store with STMB Berlin, and has been since it returned from New Zealand. It has never left there or been traded away.

Wasn’t there some debate as to whether the Stuka was actually owned by RLM? The pictures seemed to show one that was with a museum in Germany.

Err yes – the project was not part of the sale IIRC.

According to the RLM website, only the Bu181, Fw44, Fi156C1, Klemm35 were sold to Peter Holloway… Which would seem to indicate that G-STUK may still be on RLMs books…

I can and have used the search facility of the site – I’m asking if anyone has any up-to-date news of G-STUKs fate or whereabouts…

Nosedive is correct, the entire RLM collection was purchased by Pete.

Try Googling under ‘Brigadoon’–you may find your mystery STUKA there.:):):)

I know, I said that in my post…:p

The RLM collection was purchased by Peter Holloway about 18 months ago and several of the CAA registrations were cancelled. If you look back through this forum, or any other UK base aviation you should find some reasons given.

4 of the airframes from the Collection are now in an airworthy condition and can be seen at Old Warden in Bedfordshire where that are based with the Shuttleworth Collection.
