Brazilian AF B737 parked on the remote stands at LGW last evening when I flew in from GCI. Didn’t notice anything else particularly exotic.

Something large and shiny has just landed at STN and to add to the confusion, those Blackhawks have apparently now morphed into Merlins :diablo: Don’t you love those Journo’s

They just said on the radio that a couple of Chinooks and a couple of blackhawks plus one other helicopter was just seen near STN, so it looks like the rumours may be correct, unless its all a big ruse ?

Tom,

Sky news has said Stansted but theres a decoy 747-200 in the air aswell, and then theres 4 or 5 versions of ‘Marine 1’ when they get to here.

Sky news reported all that this morning and shown the departure, which I didn’t think was allowed cause I’m sure I read filming of Air Force 1 or Marine 1is not allowed…

The BBC showed footage of Air Force One about to depart from the US but didn’t say where it was going into, even though I’m pretty sure I saw a clip with STN in it. It’s probably quite understandable why they don’t definitively say where it’s going into.

I seen HZ-HM7 MD11 (Saudi Royal Flight) yesterday on my Airnav Radarbox I presume that was going into Stansted

UAL9888 (N782UA)

KADW-EGSS

Nothing filed from the USA to arrive at STN around 19:00…

There’s also a couple of DC10’s due into EGUN from KFFO at 14:00 and 14:50 but they’re prob nothing to do with it.

There seems to be some misinformation doing the rounds re the USA visitors, it may be being done deliberately for security reasons.

Someone also mentioned an Ethiopian 737 is due at STN as well but I couldn’t quite see where they fit into the G20 thing, so it might just be a general movement

Canada – CC-150 (A313) to LGW 31/3
China – Air China B744 to LGW 1/4

Italy – A319CJ to Stansted
Japan – JASDF B744s 20-1101/02 to LGW 1/4
Mexico – the B752 TP-01 will go to LHR & not Stansted
Netherlands – Fk70 PH-KBX to LGW
Russia – now due to use an Il-76, two Il-62s, two Il-96s & three Tu-154s into Stansted!
Saudi Arabia – expected to use several aircraft as well as the B744 into Stansted
Singapore – TBA
South Africa – B737BBJ ZS-RSA to LGW
South Korea – now to use an Asiana B744 to LGW 31/3
Spain – to operate an A310 into Luton

USA – the story now goes that they will use Stansted rather than Mildenhall & that there will be one VC-25A & two C-32As plus a pair of H-60s along with a United B744, however, another report still refers to Mildenhall for the USAF aircraft

A couple of Il-96 and a 62M are rumoured. Saudi’s and their large entourage are due in at some point in the next few days at STN as well, which could mean up to 5 aircraft.

Latest reports say 19:30ish tomorrow into STN (but don’t hold me to this). The ruskies are also due in that afternoon/evening, so should be interesting!
