Hello all
I was hoping someone may be able to tell me what the diferent model G45
gun cameras are and what they where generaly fitted into?
I have seen 12V and 24V with long and short lenses .
I need a G45B for my Vampire, which i make out to be short lens, 24v and
the exit for the electrical plug is on the side , does 14A/1379 sound right for this? its a number I came across somewhere.
Of cource the ones like this are always advertised as out of Spitfires but would I be right in thinking the plug coming out the side would prevent them from fitting?
Many thanks for any help

Heres the pic of my mount
I can see how a plate would clamp onto it, I hadnt even given any thought to what shape was on the bottom of the cameras.
Looking forward to the pic of it.
Another thing to keep an eye out for!
Ill have to ask a few e bayers that have listed them if they have unbolted anything from them?
Thanks guys

Hi Bob,
I will go and find one and post a piccie later – they are an odd thing – sprung loaded to locate on the camera, with bolt hole attachments to fit on the mount.
I have a couple for my own projects, but they were over £100 each!

Bruce,
How difficult to manufacture the plates? If authenticity isn’t an issue then as a substitute a modern version would do?

The mount is also relatively easy – however, there is a plate between the two that is much more difficult. They do turn up – but not often!

Thanks Bruce Mark and Bob
The reason i was thinking it was the version with the plug on the side was,
theres a Drawing in the T11 AP that shows the plug on the side but i cant recall ever seeing a pic of one fitted to a Vampire. All the pics show them with the rear plug.
I have the mount and the wiring is still there minus the plug so I would realy like to have it and the radios present eventualy.
Does anyone know what the verion with the side plug was fitted to?
Thanks again
Glenn

If i’d know that I’d have bought the one I spotted on eBuyGum a while back – not sure if it sold…

Yes, I think thats why it has no bids.
Can usually be picked up for between 30 and 70 quid dependant on condition.
Now, try and find an adaptor plate – thats the hard (and expensive!) bit.

Wow, $150?
The G45 I bought (£30 + a GGS camera, now fitted to Sea hawk WV838) is a 14A/1390 24V version with the power connection coming from the rear.
The finish on this camera is a black ‘crackle’ one and others I have seen have had a grey paint finish.
I have no idea of the era this G45 came from (serial #appears to be 61296M) but was just interested in it due to the miles of 16mm film Ihave been watching over the last 3+ years…

Plug at the rear for a Vampire.
Dont know what the ref is off hand – I’ll have a look at one of mine.
