Well, two more nice looking boxes surfaced today.
One contained a very nice Clinometer with a spirit level on top. Very heavy and very nicely built. No preservative on it and only a hint of rust in very few places. They certainly knew how to build tools 50+ years ago – I assume that it must be that old.

The next box contained a variety of adjusting tools – obviously collected over a period of time.
I recognise a few Avon engine tools in the box.

There won’t be any more gems rom this garage as it is now empty.
It will be interesting to see what the house attic gives up.

I use the same clinometer work for rebuilding wings, it allows me to measure and builld in the wash out / wash in on the wings, you use it with a rigging board, the top allows you to level everything before adjusting the clino. Damn good tool there and certainly not cheap. You can also use it when putting an aircraft up on sticks to get it level and in the riggng position.
