A wonderful little museum, loads of stuff to see.
There can’t be many places where you can see two Shackletons in the same place nowadays. And the landing strip was used today as well, a rare fixed wing visitor in the shape of a Tecnam P92-EM Echo (G-PGFG).
Enjoy the pictures

Albert,
Oh dear yet another missed face, glad you had good weather and hope you got some good photos. Mole Valley really hasnt got a clue or care what Peter is doing. I mean heres a funny idea, a few old aircraft on the ground, next to Gatwick Airport. And seeing as Tourism seems to be a “Boom Industry” its another good idea. Oh well enough on this dont want to pinch a thread. Bex

Also had a good visit there yesterday. The collection’s open day nicely co-incided with the Gatwick Aviation Enthusuiasts’ Fair at Crawley, so several enthusiasts made their way to Charlwood in the afternoon. Met Peter Vallance who was just deciding on what scheme to paint the Sea Hawk in, which is currently stripped to bare metal for painting. Apparently a Suez scheme is going to be applied. Shame this collection is still under threat from Mole Valley District Council and its future is uncertain.
