The viewing area used to be outdoors. It has since been closed by the BAA 😡 However, I find it best to go down to the end of the runway, you can see my pics on other thread. From airside in the terminal there is also a bar which takes you up quite close to the action, through glass of course.

Great pictures!
Is the viewing area inside or does it have an outdoor platform? The few I’ve tried to visit in the US only allow you to stand within a glass room while their outdoor platforms are still off limits.

Nice shots. RIPConcorde, yes that is Transaero. Unfortunately it didn’t come up to the top holding point yesterday, so I couldn’t get a close up shot of it. But you can see it at the very right of this shot.

I think I see a Transaero tail in the third last pic. I’m looking forward to seeing them at EDI soon. 🙂 Nice pics.

Great shots Nikumba, love the Zoom 767, did you fly Zoom ?
Yes and i have to say I was very impressed, £350 rtn included insurance and upgrade to top class cabin. THe main reason for the upgrade was the extra leg room.
I flew on a 767-300ER both ways they dony have PTV’s and in interior is an old one since they still had the TV’s in the asiles but didnt use those as they had a plasma at the front and two smaller LCDs on the sides.
The food was very nice and tasty the flight over was realitvly smooth only a bit of turbulance, on the way back was a whole nother matter met another jet stream as we crossed under greenlan the plane was bouncing all over the shop so much they stopped serving dinner 🙁
It was also the first time i have seen a female captain, i think she was being certified or something as there was a male capatin and a male first office so who knows.
