Went to Gatwick on Saturday (despite a less than promising weather forecast) for the Cubana Il-96 which was a mere 157 mins late . Did not expect to see much else of interest but had a couple of nice surprises before it eventually turned up.

UAE government 767
This 747-200 was apparently working a Monarch long haul flight. Can’t be many 200 still in passenger service
CU-T1250 arrives at a sunny Gatwick

Made the long trek to the other end of the airport to see the Cubana leave and saw this Virgin 747 go out.
More heat haze that I would have liked but then that’s the problem with the summer:mad:

Great catches on all of these Tony! Apart for the Virgin, i’ve never seen any of these are LGW myself, in all the times ive visited.
Nice catch on the 747 especially! 🙂
