Fantastic photo’s, can very vaguely remember going myself although I was only just 6 at the time!
The Hunter photo is quite interesting as I have driven over that spot many times in the past few years as its now part of the test track at Gaydon. The nearer of the two hangars on that photo still stands fairly unchanged – now known as B118 its the main vehicle development workshop on site. The other hangar (B117) was re-roofed with a more traditional pitch roof, but the walls remain in place.
Nice to see, thanks for sharing.

Great photos. Was the ME 262 a repro for a film or a restoration? Where is it now?

The person who repainted the Me262 for the 1969 BofB Open Day sometimes posts on this forum.
Are you there Russ?

Jim,
I checked your PDF file, some of the JP’s are “registered” to the wrong aerobatic group. Linton GIN was there & 5 of the JP’s were flown by them.
The day after the show, on their way home, Linton GIN did a “mixed loop” with Les Diables Rouges.
Here’s a small picture of them together.

I’ve put all the Info that I have on the following webpage => http://www.linton-gin.com/gaydon_69.html
If anyone out there has more info on the show, ( program scans, photos of Linton GIN / the mixed loop etc etc ) I’d be interested in seeing them.
All the Best
Steve

I can see that I’ll need to do a lot more research on this. My own log was rather threadbare, partly because I spent the first part of the airshow stuck in a traffic jam (the photos of the Magisters were taken through the car windows for instance) and I filled in much of the log from other sources. I still have my original correspondence from those and my own log books somewhere and will look for them later this week. If anyone else on the forum can help with their own logs it would be a great help.

At the risk of being pedantic, 20th September 1969 – Battle of Britain air show. 😎 There was no air show there in August!

August 1969 was the year . Raf Gaydon.
