Ive been like most of us, watching the news of the Isreali Air Strikes against Hamas in Gaza, and whilst hearing the words from some politicians and Journalists of “disproportianate responce” got me thinking.
Disproportianate if you are responding to whats been happening lately, maybe. But it seems to me that the targeting has been very specific, so disprortianate it may not be, since the stated aim is proberly not all of what we are being told.
Hamas is backed and armed by Iran, and i get the feeling here that the Isrealis have learnt from their Lebanese experience, and have decided to remove Hamas from Gaza, rather than face a three front war in responce to an attack on Iran.
We all know one of Irans responces to an attack will come from Hezbollah in Lebanon. In fact, the Iranians are making that quite obvious. Isreal has proberly prepared for this, and will respond has to when it does happen. Basicly, they can handle it.
The other more intersting front, is the Syrian Border.
A lose-win scenario for Iran would be for them to attack the Isreali nuclear facilities in responce. But how?
Any such attack would need to come through Iraq, which is suicide. The only option is is to have Aircraft pre-deployed within Syria, but any such move beforehand would alert Israel.
Do you all remmember this mysterious Syrian Order for new combat aircraft a few years ago?. The one that was consequently found to be financed by Iran?. Now im not to sure how far deliveries have gone, but it sounds to me that its quite possible that Iranians may have use of these, in a crises.
Indeed, earlier this year, Isreal reinforced its Air defensive cover surrounding its Nuclear facilities, in fear, of what they said, a Syrian attack.
It seems quite possible to me, that what we are now witnessing, is the preparation of the Battlefield.
This is purely my own interpretation of what may be happening. Its not aimed to start a flame war, but to discuss the possible reasoning behind whats happening, and its ramifications….so be kind.
