GCSE time

It seems that lots of us on here are around the same age, and are facing GCSE exams over the next couple of months. I’d like to say good luck to everyone who is, I’m sure they wont be that bad!

I took my Maths last year, as I finished the course early. Managed an A*, and so am doing Statistics as an extra GCSE (anyone else ever done stats?).

Had my Spanish oral last week, which wasn’t too bad. Had a really difficult role-play though…..I had to talk about a boy stealing something in a shop. How the hell am I meant to say that?! Oh well…you can only do your best once you’re in the exam hall, and at that point there’s no point in worrying seeing as you’ll be out again soon after.

Those who are doing GCSE’s, keep us updated on here as to what is coming up, and how they’re going. My next exam is Spanish listening, on Tuesday. My only exam all week 😀

Ahhh just back from work now, after the longest day of my life! Started the party at 1am this morning…it finished after watching sunrise. Took a long walk home about 6:30am and went to stand outside McDonalds waiting for it to open for breakfast, then went to work. I must say that drinking Stella at 6am is quite refreshing 😀

LOL! My kilt was paid for. 😉

Hopefully the after parties develop for you, because we had some planned, but they didn’t happen, I could’ve predicted that. 🙁

Yes organisation amongst teenagers can only be relied on to fail, as a similar thing happened to my one after GCSEs. No idea if we’ve had anything of the like arranged this year, the college just has too many people in

My god, you do all sorts! My school couldnt even be bothered to arrange anything like a prom night :(.

Don’t worry mate, our 6th form at all bloody farmers, so all they wanted to do was go out on tractors, instead of going out 😡

I’ll be listening and watching Derby County’s new manager this evening

Well last paper today….it went okay but not fantastic as all my other History ones had.

As Tom, i’ve had my last ever exam, 14 years of school has come to an end. like tom, i had history today, questions were did translating english scripture in to Welsh help the parnership with England in the Tudor period, and the 2nd one was on opposition to hitler!

Next stop…. UNI!

Ahem its Welsh history we do, things that affected Wales. We don’t do English History, cos we are not English!

Do you speak welsh as your first language then?

I echo that! 😀

I don’t agree with A Levels being harder than GCSEs. I done my GCSEs four years ago and completed my A Levels 2 years ago. I’ve now just completed the second year of my three year degree, so I should be graduating next year.

Obviously, the work when studying for your A Levels is bound to be much harder, but the workload compared to GCSE is completely different. It is likely that you will only study for three or four A Levels. I only done three. At GCSE, you’re studying and working hard for at most, 10 grades.

In my opinion, unless you want to go onto University, your A Levels are a total waste of time (controversial 😮 ), so you are probably better just getting out into the real world and getting a job rather than staying on at Sixth Form or College for another 2 years.

🙁 Well, I had two questions
1. NSC ’68 – Truman
2. Discuss the end of the Cold War in Poland

I forgot to mention some important stuff 🙁 Now I found out.

I have just one more tomorrow, Systems and Control (*Shudders…), no point me even going, ive already failed the making that counts for the majority of the mark, and ive been put in for the higher even though I know nothing! Havent had an exam since last Thursday, so not exactly feeling particularly ‘up for it’ either.

Had a dream last night where I got my GCSE results, got 4 As, 1B, 1c and 4 ds, hope I dont get that many Ds in the proper ones!!

Chemistry Extension in 2 hours, great! I seem to have absorbed too much information in the last couple of months, it’s got to the point now where it just wont work.
