Geneva 7/7/04

Hi guys, just want to tell you all bout my trip to Geneva Yesturday. I was awake for 22 hrs in total!! This was more of a day trip to the city, and not a spotting trip, but i saw a few aircraft. Saw a

Kuwait A300
Swiss:-A330,321,319
BA:-734, 319 ERJ
Malev:-CRJ200
Iberia:- MD 80’s
Easyjet, 737’s and all of the HB- EZY fleet!
KLM-733’s
SAS-Dash 8, MD 87
Sun Express:B738 with winglets
Air France:- A318 (my 1st 318)
Luftansa:- 321, 320
Team Lufthansa:- Dash 8
Eurowings:- ATR 72
DHL:-757F

That’s quite a list despite me being there for only 3 hrs in the airport it self. We flew with Esay from Liverpool, and had a very nice flight both ways. Went very quickly! If i remeber more i’ll tell you. There is a great Vewing Gallery there, where in todays terms you get VERY close to the Aircraft! But ypu can’t see all the aircraft on stands at the mein termainal, but for £40 a nice day out to Switzerland, and the trains are cut above the rest to our’s! (sorry this is not a train Forum)
MAN nesxt on Saturday!

Absolutely not. The differences lie mostly (for the passenger) in the equipment… The light knobs and such accessories are different. Apart of that, they are the “same”.

OO-DJO (RJ-85) for BRU – GVA, and OO-DJE (BAe-146-200) on the way back.

Don’t hope to get such a nice scenery in Zurich… The area is way more “flat” there (if I can say). But take your camera with you, the viewing terrasse is HUGE, and you can nearly see the whole airport. I hope to go there again, now that I have a decent camera..

Ah well, i flew in @ 10:05am, before departing delayed at 9:55pm. Went to Geneva it self and Lausanne. Switzerland is beautful! Going to Zurich in Summer, with a Swiss ERJ145 from MAN. After yesturday, i can’t wait to go back to that lovely country!

Thanks a lot !

I missed it. If I ever go there again (it is possible), I will have a look. Too bad, some planes with mountains as a background would have loked good ! I flew in from BRU at 8:15 in the morning, and departed at 20:00.

Ooo did u got to GVA too! OK well the way to go there is when you get into the check-in area, look towards your Left Near the EZY check in desks, but NOT to the end, u will see a gap where you will see a Model of GVA airport. Turn Left until u see some steps, go right to the top, an a voila, there is the terrace!

I was in GVA yesterday too… But my flight was FAR more expensive, and I hadn’t much time to look at planes. 🙁

Just a question though, how do you go to the viewing terrasse ?
