I was just informed that Dakota D-CXXX (ex G-AMPZ) is (temporarely?) grounded as it was damaged by fire. Most damage is on the right engine/cowlings and the right undercart. It is aid that it landed with some minor fire in these aerea’s somewhere in the Chech Republic. No one hurt, hope it can be repaired. BW Roger

It was really on June 22 in Czech Republic, airport Roudnice nad Labem. It happened a few second after take off. There was a fire on the right engine, crew extinguished fire and landed. Thats all I know, I was there day before.
Some pictures from this day, but no photos of the accident.

I understand this happened 3 weeks or 4 weeks ago now, I heard about it from someone attending the show at the time but had no facts so didn’t post.

Hope the damage isn’t too bad. Hopefully it wont mean it has to be plucked from the skys.
