“The Australian War Memorial has a Benz and Cie Model BZ4 Aero Engine that is surplus to requirements. Tenders are invited for the purchase of this engine, which is offered ‘as is, where is’.
The Benz and Cie Model BZ4 Aero Engine is one of two such engines that were provided to the Memorial following the end of the First World War. They were obtained as examples of German technology for possible display purposes. In 1984, the engine that is offered for sale was restored by the De Havilland company in Sydney, Australia. The engine has been in warehouse storage for most of the last 90 years. “
