Read in the latest Flugzeug Classic that Spitfire RK912 has been sold to a German collector and will be under rebuild.
Will this also be in “the book”?;)

Why not the Austrian Navy?;)

Is that front fuselage and engine bit the only thing that has been recovered from RK912? If it crashed into the lake you would expect that the bulk of the airframe is in the same general area.

If I were the new purchaser of the RK912 front end, I would be investigating that.
The previous owner had claimed to have recovered it himself…but declined to mention the involvement of Austrian Army Sappers! 🙂

It most certainly will be in “The book” and with a current image at the recent Aero-jumble type function at Speyer.
Any clues as to who has acquired it and its current location would be welcome by p.m.
