According to a rumor on airliners.net Eurowings is about to buy 16 Boeing 717s.
This is just a rumor but it is based on the Aviation Letter magazine – which is supposed to be very accurate, and not prone to print rumours – and the fact that a Boeing official said they are expecting a significant order” for the 717 by the end of the year.
Furthermore it is said elsewhere that Eurowings will start crew training for the 717 soon.
Let´s hope it for the 717, every rumor has a little truth in it…..

I saw one of these arrive at Gatwick on Saturday morning and was amazed! Quite a snazzy little aircraft. Let’s hope they add some to their fleet soon.
