German wings part of Lufthansa ??

hi folks

I noticed that german wings started operations to Paris CDG from Cologne.

I called the Mufthansa reservation centre in Dublin and they told me that German wings are above them.

So, is german wings part of Lufthansa ?

Lufthansa have a share in Eurowings, which operates the German Wings A319s – so in theory yep it is partialy owned by LH

It is partially owned by LH and was formed with Eurowings A319s.
With LH having their own low cost airline it ensures they keep dominating the German market.With the likes of Ryanair and Hapag-Lloyd Express moving in I think it is a rather good idea.
