Germany to buy Retired Dutch P-3C's

Berlin opts for Dutch Orions
Germany has abandoned its plans to procure a new-build maritime patrol aircraft (MPA) capability in favour of acquiring the Royal Netherlands Navy’s (RNLN’s) soon-to-be-retired fleet of P-3C Orions, industry and military sources have confirmed.

The Dutch are retiring their fleet of 13 P-3C Orions which Germany with their 18 old Atlantic 1’s will buy and improve. This is a big move, basically the same level of capability as what Pakistan has, or are they going to phase out the Atlantics?
