This good weather after the way the met office have got it so wrong recently made me think back to when I was in Germany. Normally our BFNS weather forecasts came from RAF Gutersloh but for about a week our Met office at Wildenrath was holding the fort and one December morning they were forecasting a fine bright and cold day whilst it was pouring rain and thick fog outside. When we heard that we decided that a phone call was in order. When we asked the met office whether they’d bothered to look out the window we were told they had no windows so we suggested they look out the door before making future weather forecasts

Well they are forecasting seasonal average (14-16) by the end of the week but they’ve been wrong about our local temepratures all through this warm spell. I don’t know where they got their local temp reading from but they reckon it was 26 yesterday so why was I sitting in 30 degrees? Today was supposed to have been 28 and I witnessed 32. So, yes I hope they carry on getting it wrong. I can see us having a Southwesterly wind by the weekend which should bring some of the warm air back from Europe but it will be bringing thundery showers or even thunderstorms with it.
Yeah we hit 29 here 😀 The only worry we have is forest fires. :rolleyes: mainly caused by idiots.:mad:
