Gyro gun sight Type 6 Mk II
Made by Semco Instruments Leaside Ontario (Toronto).
Hello. Just looking for information on the gun sight shown in this forum. I recently acquired the exact item complete in its original transit case with the spares box (including the items list mentioned in another message). Although similar to an aircraft gyro sight this unit was intended use on ships (hence the grey paint). Let me know if you have any further information. Thanks BEC

Who can help?
Dear friends,
I’m a German and working in Mombasa as marinearchaeologist. During research of WW II remains I found in a BOP (battery observation post) a strong corroded metalbox fore spareparts. Inside was a brass label with a inventory list and the following head-text:SIGHT TYPE 6. MK II
I could’nt find anything in the web, exept this forum.
I have not this special knowledge but a gyro was used for 6-inch guns? On the roof of the BOP was installed a Depression Range Finder.
Hope you can help me. Thanks in Advance!
HM
