I might get a bit of flak for expressing this, but I shall post it anyhow.
I’m a single guy, I’ve been trying to find a girl with the same sort of interests as me and aviation being a key interest I have tried to find a girl who shares the interest or at least respects it and or would be happy to learn more about it.
Of course it is not just about my interests and that I acknowledge and bear in mind, but there seem to be few if any girls into aviation, at least who I’ve met.
Now I’m all for gender equality, but the age old gender stereotype of women/girls not liking planes has, at least in my case been upheld barring one or two.
There must be some however, but where are they? I do not know where to look?

Whilst it is good to have some common ground, I don’t think an interest in historic aviation is a make/break in a relationship. If anything if you meet the right person they will want to get more involved in your hobbies and interests, and you in theres. Conversely you need a bit of a safe haven to retreat into if necessary. For example, my partner is pretty knowledgeable about historic aviation and comes with me to airshows. She has other interests as do I, so we don’t rely on this one shared thing to keep the relationship rolling along.

Thanks for those kind words.
I just wonder how I could start a conversation, if I did happen to see a lass who catches my eye. I’ve seen some pretty ones before but i’ve never decided how to break the ice so to speak

They are out there, my ‘Mrs’ is nuts about Spitfires…. despite me being a Hurricane fanatic!
She has accompanied me to Aviation archaeology digs and got involved getting muddy as heck. She likes airshows, Sharp noisy pointy things and the Vulcan.
so yes, keep looking 🙂

Ah yes, I have thought of this, but then it is rather difficult just suddenly striking up conversation with a stranger is it not? especially if you aren’t the most outgoing person there ever was
