Gla 2 Ams

I was on the Glasgow airport website tonight to see who is flying to Amsterdam from there and it came up with 3 carriers Air Scotland, easyJet and KLM Cityhopper.

On checking their websites I found that both Easy and Air Scotland no longer fly there so wondered if anyone can tell me any updated carriers on this route?

I know Transavia fly from Prestwick are their any others from GLA or PIK?

Thanks

Easyjet say they pulled out as other European cities are becoming more popular for the kind of weekend break and stag party clientele the AMS service appealed to. They say they will start a new Euro destination from GLA, as yet it remains a mystery as to where that might be ???

It now appears confirmed, Easy will not replace it’s GLA-AMS route with another European destination. A downscaling of services which were never particularly prolific at GLA compared with other Easyjet served
airports.

At the moment it’s just KLM, Fly Globespan join in the spring as said. Transavia start from PIK too.

Rumour has it KLM are tying to nobble Globespan already by upping their frequencies. Fly Globespan are supposedly only doing one flight a day instead of the two they promised.

Cheers guys,

I remember when there were maybe 3 or 4 carriers on this route a few years ago.

I wonder why other airlines have pulled out of this route is Amsterdam getting less popular or something?

I believe KLM is all there is. Transavia in a few months from PIK but that’s it. Perhaps you can try to get a flight through another Skyteam airline as the fares tend to be a tad cheaper that way.
