I reread the thread again and the question is asked about a Horsemen three ship,I guess the answer means that Miss Velma will be one of the aircraft, another one will be brought across,(probably in company with the P38) and the third is the surprise.

“We’re working some details with the wonderful folks at Legends but yes, the Horsemen will cross the pond bringing one of our Mustangs, mostly likely Miss Velma and one surprise. More to come soon.”
Does this mean there are 2 Miss Velmas or is the information out of date and refers to just the one that’s here now with TFC.:)

As for which Mustang they send from the USA,they have a choice of at least 5 different ones.
Its a hard life…..

Air or sea ? Personally, I think a shipping container would be easier on the nerves.
You cannot put a P-38 in a container, even dismantled it is too big.
Deck cargo only.
If it comes it will be by air.
How far it gets is another matter….
As far as i know there are only 3 current horseman.

Maid Of Harlech
Talking of which, does anyone know of any news in this case, or are they still fundraising ?
I would think the licence must be running out of time soon, so some other team could take it over !
By: warhawk69 - 22nd January 2009 at 12:34
It will be by air I think, the idea is to complete the mission and cumming by sea will be cheating!

Hey…they could fly it in formation with “Maid of Harlech”. Am sure TIGHAR will have it out, dusted down and flown by then! 🙂
