Been a while since i have posted but i bust my last camera and couldnt afford a new one untill now so i got the canon 550d with sigma 70-300mm apo dg lens and decided to go out and and try it out, The photo’s below are from the camera and the settings are above the photo’s, i am looking for critisim and where i went wrong with the settings also what is wrong with the photo’s. i am not sure if i used the correct settings as i was used to the 400D and this new to me any help would be appreciated, thanks for taking the time to look it’s good to be back out again:D

I think the ISO100 pictures look sharper then the ISO400 ones.
I would go for the lower ISO’s if possible, any shutterspeed above 1/500 is usually good to stop motion blur in my experience, depending on the amount of zoom off-course.
Also there is not much difference between F8 and F9 in terms of lens performance (sharpness) so you can also open up a bit more (F8) on that side to get the ISO down.
Otherwise happy shooting with the new camera.

Great ! I hadnt realised the BA 734’s had patched in the eyebrow windows. I guess its for the same reason as the 738.
